Installed in a bus shelter, BOULDER invites the public to a direct, physical, and sensory confrontation with the imposing mass of a rock seemingly balanced within the structure that houses it. By suggesting the possibility of a rockfall, a phenomenon increasingly common in mountainous regions, BOULDER questions our relationship with unpredictability, chance, and risk in our daily routines.
